Day 3 - Monday, June 20, 2011

After getting up early for a State Auto recognition event, Super Achievers headed out to enjoy their choice of activities.  Unfortunately, the day was pretty rainy.  Here are a few photos from the trip to Cobh and Midleton.

At the Old Midleton Distillery, we learned about the history and the process of making the world-renowned Jameson Irish Whiskey.

Then, we headed off to Cobh, the port of emigration for 2.5 million  Irish headed to the U.S.  Their story is dramatically told at The Queenstown Story - a multimedia exhibition at the restored Victoria Train Station.  Cobh was also the last port of call for the Titanic.

This evening, half of the group headed to Molly D'arcy's pub for dinner and the other half enjoyed dinner in one of Killarney's finest restaurants.    Here is a view of the fun to be had at Molly D'arcy's.

The evening ended with a performance by some terrific local entertainment.

Tomorrow there will be more exciting activities and fun evening events.  See you there!
